## FAQ
**What is a DNS lookup?** It asks the Domain Name System what records exist for a domain, such as the IP address a website uses or the servers that receive its email.

**Is the domain I enter sent anywhere?** Yes. The lookup is made from your browser to Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS service (cloudflare-dns.com). It does not pass through ToolStack Hub.

**Why do my DNS changes not show yet?** Resolvers cache records for the TTL (time to live). After a change it can take from minutes to a day or more for every resolver to update.

**Is the DNS Lookup Tool free?** Yes, with no sign-up or limits.
