About this tool
Paste a transcript or notes and the tool finds sentences that commit someone to do something ("I'll send...", "Can you...", "We need to..."), works out the owner from the speaker or a name in the sentence, picks up deadlines such as "by Friday" or "next week", and shows the supporting passage so you can verify it. It uses text patterns rather than AI, so it will miss some actions and flag some false ones: review the list before sharing. Nothing leaves your browser.
Meeting Transcript to Action List is part of ToolStack Hub's Text Tools. It runs entirely in your browser, which keeps your data private and makes results instant. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no usage limit.
Frequently asked questions
Does it use AI?
No. It looks for commitment phrases such as "I'll", "can you", "we need to" and "action:", then picks up names and deadlines from the same sentence. That makes it private and predictable, but it will not understand every way of phrasing a task.
What transcript formats work?
Plain text with "Name: words" lines works best. SRT and VTT subtitle files also work, although without speaker names owners may show as unassigned.
Is the Meeting Transcript to Action List free?
Yes. Meeting Transcript to Action List is completely free with no sign-up, limits or watermarks.
Is my data private when I use the Meeting Transcript to Action List?
Yes. It runs in your browser, so your input is not uploaded to our servers.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. ToolStack Hub tools work on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
