Measure the inside of your shelf (width, depth and height), then list the boxes you are considering with their outside sizes. The finder tries every way of standing each box, counts how many fit in a row, how many deep and how many can be stacked, and ranks the options by total quantity and wasted space. Leave a few millimetres of gap so boxes slide in and out easily.
