About this tool
Open a screenshot or photo, drag over anything private (names, email addresses, account numbers, faces), choose a solid black box or pixelation, and download the result. Saving re-draws the picture onto a fresh canvas, so metadata such as camera details and location is not carried over. Redaction is applied to the pixels, so it cannot be undone in the saved file. Work on a copy, and remember that blur is weaker than a solid box for text: use black boxes for anything sensitive. Your image never leaves your device.
Screenshot Privacy Editor is part of ToolStack Hub's Image Tools. It runs entirely in your browser, which keeps your data private and makes results instant. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no usage limit.
