Choose a video file and see how a vertical crop would frame it: drag the focal position slider to centre the crop on your subject, choose the shape, and the planner shows the crop size in pixels, how much the crop has to be enlarged to reach 1080 x 1920 and whether that would look soft. Why is my vertical crop blurry?
A 9:16 crop from a 16:9 video keeps only about a third of the frame, so it has to be enlarged to reach 1080 x 1920. Shooting at 4K or filming in vertical avoids this.
