How to use the Spinner Wheel (Random Picker Wheel)
- Type or paste your entries, one per line. A dinner-ideas list is loaded to start, and you can choose a preset or write your own.
- To make an entry more likely, add a weight after a bar, for example Pizza | 3. Entries without a weight count as 1.
- Press Spin the wheel. The wheel turns and stops on the winner, which appears below the wheel and is added to the results list.
- Tick Remove each winner after it is picked to run an elimination game, such as choosing a presentation order. Use Shuffle entries to reorder, or Copy link to share the list.
Example
Worked example (fictional lunch list)
- Entries: Pizza | 2, Tacos, Sushi (written one per line)
- Chances: Pizza has a weight of 2 and the others 1 each, so Pizza wins about 50% of spins and Tacos and Sushi about 25% each
- Elimination mode: After Pizza is picked it is removed, leaving a wheel of Tacos and Sushi, each with a 50% chance
Limitations
- Results are random, so a long list can still repeat an entry on consecutive spins unless you use elimination mode.
- The winner is chosen with your browser’s secure random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) before the wheel animates; the animation is only a display.
- Up to 60 entries and 60 characters per entry are used. Long names are shortened on the wheel but kept in the result.
- Your list is not saved when you close the page. Use Copy link to keep or share it, and keep the link under about 1,800 characters.
- Do not use the wheel for legally regulated draws such as prize competitions without keeping your own audit record.
- AI suggestions are generated text and may repeat or be unsuitable, so check them before you spin.

About this tool
The Spinner Wheel picks one entry at random from a list you type or paste. Add your own names, tasks or prizes, give an entry a higher weight so it comes up more often, remove each winner automatically for elimination games, and spin. The winner is chosen with your browser’s secure random generator before the wheel animates, so the animation never affects the result. An optional button can suggest entries from a topic using AI.

Frequently asked questions
How does the spinner wheel decide the winner?
It picks the winner first using the browser’s secure random number generator, weighted by each entry’s weight, then turns the wheel so the pointer stops on that entry. The spin animation does not influence the outcome.
Is the spinner wheel really random?
Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographically secure generator, rather than Math.random, and every spin is independent.
Can I make some entries more likely to win?
Yes. Add a weight after a vertical bar, for example Pizza | 3. An entry with weight 3 is three times as likely to be chosen as an entry with weight 1.
Can I remove winners automatically?
Yes. Tick the elimination option and each winner is deleted from the list after the spin, which suits picking an order or a sequence of winners.
Are my entries uploaded?
No. The wheel runs in your browser. Only the optional AI suggestion button sends its topic to our server and an AI service.
Can I share my wheel?
Yes. Copy link puts your entries in the web address so anyone who opens the link gets the same list.
Is the Spinner Wheel (Random Picker Wheel) free?
Yes. Spinner Wheel (Random Picker Wheel) is completely free with no sign-up, limits or watermarks.
Is my data private when I use the Spinner Wheel (Random Picker Wheel)?
The wheel runs in your browser and your entries are not uploaded. Only the optional Suggest options with AI button sends its topic to our server and an AI service (Cloudflare Workers AI, with Groq or OpenRouter as backups), and a daily fair-use limit applies to it.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. ToolStack Hub tools work on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
